Block Paving Driveway - Rotherham

Mr Wardle asked us to replace his tired old tarmac drive with a fresh new herringbone block paved driveway. This involved excavating to ensure the new hardcore base would be sufficiently compacted and settled for the blocks. The drive was then given a new mix of stone hardcore and tamped down to create a solid platform on which to lay the top base and then the blocks.

A mixed sand & cement base was then laid and the edging blocks were placed around the perimeter of the drive. Once this was complete, the interior herringbone arrangement was laid with a mottled brick colour. The entire job took three days to complete from start to finish.
